The finished scarves are carefully wrapped and presented in their own paulownia wood box with a signed certificate, detailing the scarf’s edition.
These wooden boxes, known as tomobako have a long tradition in Japan where typically pottery is presented and stored in it. They are signed by the creator and serve as authentication for the content giving a particular appreciation for what is inside.
Additionally the paulownia wood is revered for its qualities such as resistance to rot.
