"Describe your artistic style in three words. Intuitive, tactile and in progress."
— Darshana Shilpi Rouget, in conversation with Charlie Colville, Country & Town House

In late 2022, Country & Town House— the long-standing UK title for design, culture and conscious luxury — published a longform interview with Alba Amicorum's founder. Charlie Colville's piece traces the path from Bombay to Belgravia: the years of collecting, the friendships across continents, and the conviction that a scarf can hold the same considered intention as a painting.

The interview lingers on the atelier's collaborative model — the painters, photographers, and writers whose work has been translated onto silk and cashmere — and on Darshana's insistence that no edition leaves the studio without an artist's hand on it. There is also, in the spirit of "Country & Town House," a softer thread: the ritual of the atelier itself, tucked into Kinnerton Yard, and the gallery-meets-studio it has become for visitors who arrive by appointment.

The piece remains one of the fullest portraits of the brand and is the natural starting point for anyone wanting to understand what Alba Amicorum stands for.
