Ross Klavan

Stories woven into cloth

“Ross is married to Mary Jones, and my connection to him is as long and strong as my friendship with her. A brilliant, witty writer, I’m so glad he suggested transforming the scripts he would write for us into scarves—capturing the spirit of New York, London, and Paris, cities Ross and I both know well.” – Darshana Shilpi Rouget, Founder

Ross Klavan is a New York-based writer whose work—spanning narrative, image, and performance—has been praised for its humanity, grit, sharp humour, and touch of the absurd. His career encompasses film, television, radio, fiction, live performance, conceptual art, and cartoons in both the US and Europe.

For Alba Amicorum, Ross created two series of original scripts, inspired by London and Paris, which Darshana visually interpreted into scarf designs. The first scarves available in our collection are from the London and Paris series.
