Juliet Burnett
Australian-born ballerina Juliet Burnett has performed on stages around the world, dancing lead roles for the Australian Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Akram Khan, and Ballet Vlaanderen (Royal Ballet of Flanders) in Antwerp, where she is lead soloist. Her desire for creative exploration led her to Indonesia in 2010 to study classical Javanese dance, tracing the footsteps of her grandmother, who was a Javanese dancer at the royal court of Yogyakarta. This cultural connection has reinforced Juliet’s sense of individuality, and she has expanded her artistry beyond dance to embrace writing, acting, and photography.
Juliet worked with us on ‘Sentience’, a creative exploration on film of our scarves transformed into an extension of the body through dance. She has modelled scarves for our Man Ray Trust campaign and often features in our social media posts.
